LDAP User for windows is a portable user authentication tool. It allows you to login to any LDAP user account and retrieve all the LDAP attributes for user account such as user name, account created date time, last failed login date time, last logon date time, user member groups and many more. This LDAPUser tool useful for system administrators and end users to trouble shoot LDAP user account issues. End users can use this tool to verify their account status from any computer within the network.
LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) is a directory service which runs over TCP/IP. It stores information, similar to a database, but contains more descriptive, attribute based data. The data is optimized for reading, so it doesn't handle frequently changing data well. The information is arranged in a hierarchical structure, which allows for separation of the data based on different criteria. LDAP uses a client-server model, where one or more LDAP servers present a consistent view of the data-either by answering the request, or by pointing to a server that contains the data.
How To Use the LDAPUser Tool
- Download LDAPUser.zip, and then unzip the files to your hard disk.
- Double-click the LDAPUser.exe file to start LDAP User tool.
- Provide Domain name, User login name and Password to login and retrieve LDAP user information.
